WEDDING TIPS WE LOVE

BOUQUETS

Re-use your bridesmaids' bouquets and your bouquet as the center pieces and other decorations for your reception.

You'll definitely save $$$ on table decorations and additional florals!  And…this means that each bouquet will have someplace to land after the ceremony. As a planner/coordinator we will do this for you but if you do not have a day of coordinator simply assign this task to someone.

Carry your bouquet waist height (at your belly button) facing out.  Make sure your attendants carry theirs the same.  Looks great in pics! Plus you don’t want to hide your beautiful face or gown.

CEREMONY

Your grand entrance!  Walk slower than you have ever walked or ever imagined down the aisle!  Practice this during your rehearsal.  Your guests look forward to this moment as much as you do.  Take it slow and take in all the "feels".

Make sure your officiant moves out of the way for your first kiss!  Who wants the first kiss photo with your officiant's head right behind you?

HOLD the kiss!  Yes, I said, HOLD the kiss!  Don't be shy - let your photographer capture this special moment!

Pre-plan and/or practice who is walking back down the aisle to the recessional music.

RECEPTION

Don't leave your partner's side!  Don't let guests pull you in different directions.  Stay together.  The day goes by so very fast and is over before you know it.  You'll want to remember enjoying it with one another.  Grab each other's hand and go through the day together, as one.  Talk about this prior to your big day and promise each other to stay close throughout the reception.

What about seating charts?  Seating charts are like extra hard cryptic puzzles with high emotions.  Know now that you cannot and will not be able to please everyone, so do what works for YOU!  Our best advice is to sit your older generations closer to the dancefloor.  Really?  Yes, really because everyone else will abandon their tables as soon as the music starts.  So, make sure your older generations are close so they can watch and all be a part of it and not be left all the way to the back.
